San Diego Sunset

The entire day was spent the way we enjoy it the most. With our feet in the sand, the sun in our face and the sound of Waves crashing on the shore. San Diego is a great place to experience it. We drove just a little north of downtown to a place called La Jolla.

It's your typical beach community but this area seemed to be a little more upscale. The homes are built up on the cliffs over looking the ocean. Surfers dominate the waves here. Now, I did learn a very important lesson when it comes to "surfer dude talk". When you are referring to a "Boogie Board" it means the flat little board that the kids play in the waves with. The pros use a very smiliar board but they are called a "Body Board". Please don't insult someone by using the wrong term.

We made it back to Road Hazard in time to fire up the grill and throw some steaks on while we strolled down to the water to watch our first California Sunset.

Friday morning we pack it up and move north.

Just taking a break from posting pics on my family reunion site and thought I would visit some other blogs, for a change of pace. What a pleasant surprise to find your blog.

In my single days, I managed to travel to every state. Now that I'm just a little older and (thankfully) appreciate life more, we are working on re-visiting each state. With three youngins', it's a challenge, so it will take awhile to fit it all in.

May you have safe travels and make many friends along the way. IF you happen to find yourself in Nebraska, you are welcome to stop by!

Thank you! We have been having the time of our lives. It's hard to believe sometimes that we are actually doing this. I can imagine traveling with 3 little ones makes it much more interesting. We didn't want to get a dog because we thought it would be too much work.
Thanks for reading our blog. We enjoy posting and meeting great people along the way. Nebraska huh? Don't be surprised.
