I know it's a tough job but we had to do it. We had to visit the many Beach's that are along the coast of LA. Pacific Coast Highway leads you along the coast as you pass the many Beach's. Twist and turns reveal the different Beach's along with their own unique beach towns. The furthest beach we visited was Rodondo Beach. Heading back north we passed Hermosa Beach but we had to stop at Manhattan Beach.
This is the birthplace of Beach Volleyball. We had to stop and give homage to this sacred stretch of sand. There were probably close to 50 courts set up along this beach. By the time we left this afternoon people were starting to show up to play.
We had to make it back to the Santa Monica Pier to meet with Willie for dinner. The picture above was taken looking off the pier.
This is a shot of Santa Monica. We walked up the street a couple of blocks to walk the famous 3rd Street Promenade. It is closed off to vehicle traffic and it's about 5 blocks of shops and restaurants. There are many street performers hoping to get discovered by someone.
Tuesday we are on the road heading north. Destination to be determined en route.

What fun! Okay, I admit I'm living vicariously through your blog. We homeschool and are having fun finding the places you write about and see if they are the beaches we've been to. They aren't, but it's a fun geography lesson. Shh, I didn't tell them it was for school. Officially, no. But it's fun to throw in some education along the way. Looking forward to your next destination.
Thanks! If you want to test their geography skills check out the game at the bottom of the blog. See how far you can go.
