Keep the COLD up north!

Wait a second. Last time I looked we were parked in the sunshine state of Florida. What's with this 60 degree weather? We didn't quit our jobs, sell the house and car to come to Florida and sit inside because of cold weather. Something is wrong with this picture. Yesterday it was cold and windy. If you dared setting foot on the beach it was like you were getting sand blasted. These little projectiles biting away at any exposed flesh like a pack of hungry piranha's finishing off a helpless animal. I think the squirrels are fattening up to survive the cold weather. It has become a morning ritual. They come to the picnic table and sit there until Steve Irwin (aka Reta) gets up to feed him. Do you think I'm crazy enough to feed this wild animal?

So, you ask, what do you do all day if the weather is crappy? Besides the obvious answer, drive each other nuts, we read, clean, surf the Internet and what ever else will keep you busy.

Tomorrow is moving day for us. We are packing up and moving up to Tampa. Don't know where we are going to stay yet but that's half the fun. Even Reta is getting used to this lifestyle of "wingin'it". Since we started on our adventure a little over 3 months ago, her need for a structure of schedules, lists and planning has dissipated to a tolerable level.

Sorry that we haven't done anything exciting to write about this week . We haven't lost the pickup or run over anything but when you least expect it a great story will emerge.

Yesterday we did venture out to a local watering hole around sunset to take in another show. We have seen so many sunsets recently and we just don't get tired watching them. Your assignment, America, is to go out and witness a sunset. Take a picture and email it to me and we will post them all on a future blog.

Don't send me one that you took 6 months ago but rather one that was taken fresh.
I look forward to seeing your moment of relaxation!
